Overview

IceCast ("IceCast", "we", "us", or "our") is building an app that gives Colorado anglers easy access to ice thickness reports and conditions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect today through this waitlist site, what we'll collect once the app launches, and how that information is used and protected.

Information We Collect Today (Waitlist)

When you join the waitlist, we collect the following information you provide:

• Email address — stored in Mailchimp, our email marketing platform, so we can send you updates about the IceCast launch.
• State of residence — collected to understand geographic demand and to prioritize which states IceCast expands to after Colorado. This is stored as a tag in Mailchimp alongside your email address.

We do not require an account, payment information, or any other personal details to join the waitlist.

How We Use Waitlist Information

• To send you updates about the IceCast launch, timeline, and early access details.
• To understand how much interest there is in IceCast and where (e.g. by region).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to third parties. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

The Future App's Data Practices

Once the IceCast app launches, it will collect additional information in order to operate the ice report and ranking features. In general terms, this will include:

• Account information — such as a username, email address, and authentication details, used to identify reporters and track reporter rank.
• User-submitted reports — ice thickness measurements, lake/location, photos, and notes that you choose to submit. Your display name and rank may be shown alongside your reports; we do not display your personal contact information to other users.
• App data storage — account and report data will be stored using Firebase, a cloud platform provided by Google, with industry-standard security practices.

We will update this Privacy Policy with more specific details before the app launches, and you'll be able to review it in the app.

Analytics & Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with IceCast — for example, which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, and may set cookies on your device to track your session.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by declining cookies when prompted on this site.

Cookies

This website uses cookies — small text files placed on your device — primarily through Google Analytics. Cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve the experience. • Unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time via the link in any email.
• Once the app launches, request deletion of your account and associated reports from within the app or by contacting us.
• Contact us with any questions or requests regarding your data.

Colorado Privacy Act (CPA)

IceCast is operated from Colorado and complies with the Colorado Privacy Act. If you are a Colorado resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal data we collect and how it is used.
• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Opt out of any sale of your personal data (we do not sell personal data).
• Appeal any decision we make regarding your data rights request.

Children's Privacy

IceCast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as the app moves from waitlist to launch. We'll update the effective date above when changes are made.
